PENINSULA, Ohio -- The National Park Service has officially taken the reins of most of the former Brandywine Golf Course property, improving public access to the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. The National Park Service paid $3.1 million for 198 acres of the 213-acre former golf course from the Conservancy for Cuyahoga Valley National Park, a non-profit arm of Cuyahoga Valley National Park, just before the new year, the park service announced Wednesday. The conservancy purchased the property in 2021, after its 2018 closing.
