CLEVELAND, Ohio — The break from the snow will be brief for Northeast Ohio residents as the lake effect is about to take hold, and some areas could get an additional 8 inches of snow The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory Wednesday for Cuyahoga, Lake, Geauga and Ashtabula counties beginning at 11 p.m. It's expected to remain in place until 7 a.m. Friday. Snow is expected to start falling at about 1 a.m. Thursday. Some communities in Cuyahoga County might only get 1 to 2 inches, but forecasts say the higher elevations in the eastern part of the county could have 8 inches on the ground by Friday morning.
